Applicant Responsibilities

To ensure transparency, accountability, and alignment with the Foundation’s mission, gift recipients are asked to review a set of responsibilities following the confirmation of an award. These requirements help safeguard the appropriate use of funds and support ongoing evaluation of impact. Please review the following carefully.

Reporting

Gift recipients are asked to submit a report on the progress and outcomes of their program nine months following the initial award.  Multi-year gift recipients are also asked to submit a report annually for the duration of the funding period.  The report may consist of, but is not limited to, written progress reports, measured outcomes, demographics, lessons learned, and the use of funds.  An example of our current follow-up report may be found *here.*  (link to follow-up report document)

Use of Funding

An award from the Foundation should be used for the charitable purposes indicated in the application unless otherwise authorized by the Foundation.  In the case of program or financial changes, please get in touch with the Foundation to discuss the circumstances.  The organization may be asked to submit a written statement regarding the changes. The Foundation reserves the right to cancel any future application eligibility or awards.

Recognition and Publicity

If a recipient wishes to issue a press release or announcement regarding the gift, the Foundation appreciates the opportunity to review and comment on any materials before release.  Foundation logos, bios, and other information are available upon request.

Tax Exempt Status

All applicants and awardees are responsible for maintaining their tax-exempt status (or fiscal sponsorship) as a public charity throughout the award period. Should the recipient’s status change, the recipient must notify the Foundation.
