Everyday Should Be World Book Day

March 4th is World Book Day -” a UNESCO initiative that aims to celebrate both books and reading especially among our younger members of societies.”

The Saigh Foundation supports several programs that encourage literacy through reading.  As Fred Saigh once said, “A world without books is like eating soup without salt.”

While the world may mark one day to celebrate reading and its multiple benefits, we champion many more days of this leisure activity.

So, this month we invite everyone to take a moment, put down the phone or tablet, turn off the TV, and pick up a book.
